Decio Bramante Buffoni, was an illustrator and poster designer very close to Munari's rationalism and Veronesi. During the '30s he was the writer of "The Illustrated Magazine of the People of Italy" and in 1933 he published the volume" Italian people in Egypt ", Milan, 1933. In the same years Ettore Petrolini was engaged in a theatrical tour in Egypt and Tripolitania and probably the two got to know each other on that occasion.

Buffoni then became, in the 1950s and 1960s, an advertising graphic designer for Pirelli.
