Maria Semmer studied graphic design and photography in Nuremberg, Berlin, and St. Petersburg. Her research combines photography and performance, exploring the interaction between context and subject matter. She has exhibited in museums and galleries in Italy and abroad, including MUSPAC (L'Aquila), Galleria Gallerati, and Hybrida Contemporanea (Rome). She lives and works between Germany and Italy.
