The painting, on the first canvas, has no repaintings visible under Wood's lamp. On the reverse there is a horizontal junction seam, also perceptible on the front with a more evident crimp. The work shows several falls of pictorial material, especially along the margins, sometimes in conjunction with the beating marks of the frame.
